The most famous of the Amazon jungle lodges, Ariaú consists of four-story wooden towers on stilts and linked by catwalks—an effect that is even more dramatic when the river floods the ground below from December to June. The most popular suite is the Tarzan House, 100 feet up in the treetops. The feeling of being integrated with nature is a bit lost here due to Ariaú's size, and contact with wildlife is rare, apart from brightly colored macaws and cute semiwild monkeys

that visit and make mischief. The packet includes pickup and drop-off.
