In high-altitude cities like La Paz and Potosí, the weather can get very chilly, particularly at night. Lowland cities like Santa Cruz, sitting in the Amazon basin, are hot and humid most of the year. Cochabamba, dubbed the "City of Eternal Spring," enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate year-round.
