Park Hyatt Mendoza Review

Inside may be all modern comforts, but the Hyatt has preserved the landmark Plaza Hotel's 19th-century Spanish colonial facade: a grand pillared entrance and a wide veranda that extends to either side of the street. Lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner are served on this gracious terrace overlooking Mendoza's main square. A two-story wall of wine separates Bistro M, the restaurant, from the lobby. Minimalist bedrooms are softened by plump white pillows and duvets covering the simple ebony beds.

    Park Hyatt Mendoza Review

Great location, fantastic spa, decent restaurant & bar, terriffic patio, nice, safe casino. Hotel itself is nice, not however what I would consider a 5 star facility however it is clean & well kept. The "hospitality" staff is adequate at best though the spa staff were top notch. Restaurant service was marginal at best despite generous gratuities. If staying in Mendoza, the Park Hyatt is a good choice if you want to be in the city and all the nightlife. If you are hitting the wineries you might consider staying at a Posada at one of the vineyards.

The best hotel experience of our lives!

Let me preface this by saying my dad and brother are both commercial pilots. I was privileged to travel often. Then I met my husband when he was living in South America and commuting back and forth to San Francisco for work. He and his friends are mileage freaks – they know all the ends and outs of mileage perks. So, in our years married we have been to A LOT of places, stayed in a lot of hotels, used a lot of upgrades. What was most noteworthy about the Park Hyatt Mendoza was the service. Everyone, in every facet of the hotel, was friendly, helpful, and genuine. Each person went beyond any kind of customer service we have ever experienced. I don’t think we heard the word ‘no’ once from anyone. We have two children (3 and 1) but they stayed back in states with both grandmas. Our intent was to relax, taste wine, have some nice meals, and relax more. The Hyatt made this dream happen. The concierge worked magic to get us reservations where we wanted when we wanted. We were treated like royalty at the spa. Every masseuse was professional and well trained, and the spa itself was CLEAN and well run. We went back 3 times! The spa staff did everything they could to accommodate us. On the last night we went to the front desk to pay off our account. We mentioned that it was our last night. The clerk noticed we had purchased the breakfast-included rate for each night of our stay (Hyatt breakfast buffet $17 value). He offered to have a breakfast brought to our room at 5 am, as we would be leaving too early to make the buffet. Most any other hotel would’ve been ‘sorry’ we’d miss breakfast. Instead, right at 5 the next morning, room service delivered an elegant spread of fruits, croissants, and coffee right to our room.
