Mammoth Hotel Dining Room

Fodor's Review

A wall of windows at the dining room overlooks an expanse of green that was once a military parade and drill field. While enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner you might catch a glimpse of elk grazing on the lawn. The art deco–style restaurant, decorated in shades of gray and white, has an airy feel. Montana beef, bison, and fish receive pride of place at dinner, which always includes at least one vegetarian entrée. The small-plate menu is right for those with lighter appetites. Dinner reservations are not taken in summer, but are essential in winter.
