Frankie Bones

Ribeye medium rare; just right!

Frankie Bones Review

Since this restaurant is dedicated to the loving memory of Frank Sinatra, you might assume that its name is also one of the handles of "ole blue eyes." But you'd be wrong. "Bones" was a Chicago gangster before Prohibition. This place appeals to an older set of regulars who like the traditional parmesagnas and marsalas on the early dining menu. But during happy hour, the bar and tall cocktail tables are populated with younger patrons who order flat-bread pizzas and small portions of pasta. It's especially popular with guys who prefer the substantial and familiar, but some dishes have more innovative twists, including a 16-ounce rib eye with a sweetened coffee rub. Be an honorary Italian and just drink your dessert, something Amaretto-based such as a Godfather or a Burnt Almond.
