Fodor's Review

In the heart of the city's Arts and Entertainment District, this intimate boutique hotel sets the standard for elegant decor and attentive service. Rooms and suites are in a pair of restored 19th-century buildings, while the lobby and second floor were once a department store. Each of the 80 spacious accommodations contains a limited edition intaglio print of the hotel by RISD professor Nancy Friese, along with such perks as fluffy robes, luxury bedding, and free Wi-Fi;

some suites also have whirlpool tubs. The hotel's elegant restaurant, Aspire, serves creative, well-prepared American food.
