Hotel Providence Review

In the heart of the city's Arts and Entertainment District, this intimate boutique hotel sets the standard for elegant decor and attentive service. Rooms and suites are in a pair of restored 19th-century buildings, while the lobby and second floor were once a department store. Each of the 80 spacious accommodations contains a limited edition intaglio print of the hotel by RISD professor Nancy Friese, along with such perks as fluffy robes, luxury bedding, and free Wi-Fi; some suites also have whirlpool tubs. The hotel's elegant restaurant, Aspire, serves creative, well-prepared American food.
