Fodor's Review

This maritime museum honors the maker of yachts for eight consecutive America's Cup defenses as well as the sport of yachting. Its collection includes more than 60 boats, ranging from the 8½-foot dinghy Nathanael to 75-foot successful America's Cup defender Defiant. The Hall of Fame was founded in 1992 as an arm of the museum by Halsey Herreshoff, a four-time America's Cup defender and grandson of yacht designer Nathanael Herreshoff. The museum hosts

talks on yacht design and restoration and operates a sailing school for kids and adults.
