Getting Here and Around

From the west, drive to the island on U.S. Route 64; from the Outer Banks, follow U.S. Route 158 to U.S. Route 64. Although Manteo's main drag and historic waterfront have sidewalks, a car is useful for visiting the town's various sites. Charter flights are available at Dare County Regional Airport.
