Train Travel

Metro-North Railroad trains take passengers from Grand Central Terminal to points north of New York City, both in New York State and Connecticut. Amtrak trains arrive at Penn Station. For trains from New York City to Long Island and New Jersey, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and New Jersey Transit, respectively; both operate from Penn Station. Although Penn Station does not have a telephone contact or website, each individual train line provides information. The commuter PATH trains to New Jersey offer service to Newark, Jersey City, Harrison, and Hoboken; the main Manhattan PATH stations are located at 33rd Street and the World Trade Center.
