Leasburg Dam State Park. Built in 1908, Leasburg Dam retains irrigation water for Mesilla Valley farmland and recreational water for the Leasburg Dam State Park. Kayakers and anglers enjoy boating and fishing here, and on hot days the cool water draws dozens of swimmers.
