Tinnie Silver Dollar
Tinnie Silver Dollar Review
Just 2 mi east of the U.S. 70 turnoff to Ruidoso is the little town of Tinnie and this real find of a restaurant. The food at the Silver Dollar is more than worth the drive (it's owned by the well-run local Cattle Baron chain), and if you're in need of a place to stay, they have two well-appointed guest suites. Aside from enjoying a really fine meal of traditional favorites like filet mignon, rack of lamb, lobster tail, or chicken piccata, you can relax knowing that you're supporting a business with a mission: the Silver Dollar's profits go to support the Second Chance Boys' Ranch, an on-site program geared to helping neglected boys between the ages of 10 and 16 regain self-esteem and learn the skills they need to make good life choices. The Sunday champagne brunch is a favorite that draws folks from miles around. Ask about the haunted mirror and the building's ghost.
