Run by Laurie Kendrick and Stan Carroll, two highly respected Vegas chefs who trained under Wolfgang Puck, this intimate, modern restaurant with clean lines, blond-wood floors, and high ceilings looks like something you'd find in the California Wine Country. Especially good among the reasonably priced, ouststanding bistro creations are the thin-crust pizzas and fresh pastas (try the squash ravioli with sage-brown butter and toasted walnuts). Among the entrées, the herb-roasted chicken with apple-sage dressing, and all-beef meatloaf with mashed potatoes and onion gravy score high marks. The wine list, with nearly 100 selections, is impressive. It's just south of where Paradise Road intersects with I-215, just south of the airport. The constant planes overhead do contribute a bit of unpleasant noise.

Just a few minutes off the heart of the strip, and well worth the sight detour. The food is always interesting and well prepared, and service attentive... prices are reasonable. Lunch is always crowded... weekend evenings as well. You will return.
