Fodor's Review:
This charming little downtown joint, spun off from a popular New York watering hole, is laid out like an old-fashioned hair salon (complete with hair-dryer chairs acquired from a defunct New Jersey salon), so you can pretend to be your mother (ironically or not) while you listen to local bands (primarily of the rocking type), sip away at creative cocktails with names like "Shampoo" and "Conditioner," and ogle the hipster crowd. The first Friday of each month features the uber-popular "Get Back" party, and on warm nights, a patio is opened with a second bar.
