Fodor's Expert Review Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro

Relaxed and dapper, Morels is Palazzo's upscale yet unfussy all-day dining option. Its specialty is both traditional Parisian-inspired bistro fare and steak-house victuals. Except for the pricey beef dishes, most of the food here is affordable by Strip standards. And although the steak can be hit or miss, anything from the seafood, cheese, and charcuterie bars is delicious, as well as dishes such as pan-seared Scottish salmon with bordelaise sauce, carrots, and lentils. Cocktails are noteworthy, as is the expansive (and expensive) wine list, with more than 60 offerings—French, Italian, and Californian—available by the glass. Breakfast and weekend brunch are boffo. VIP views of the Strip can be had from the patio (seasonal: first-come, first-seated).
