Las Vegas Dining with Kids

Las Vegas is not really a family destination, but you'll still find plenty of spots around town—both on and off the Strip—that happily welcome kids. Here's a look at several restaurants worth a trip if you have kids in tow.

Grimaldi's. Exceptionally tasty pizza and a casual dining room draw crowds to this cheery restaurant at The Palazzo (where there's a little outdoor patio that's good fun on a nice day) and Henderson.

Hard Rock Cafe. The last-remaining Vegas outpost of this national chain (located near M&M's World) still delivers family-friendly dishes and hearty portion sizes for the whole brood.

Honey Salt. The menu at this Summerlin restaurant was created by kids for kids (age 10 and under), with both delicious (mac and cheese, margherita pizza) and nutritious (steamed broccoli and cheddar) offerings. There are cookies and milk for dessert and a "sushi" option that comprises rice crispy treats with gummies.

The Patisserie. With locations in both ARIA and Bellagio, the draws here are beautifully displayed cakes, cookies, gelato, and dessert crepes, and a fanciful Wonka-esque ambience, with a chocolate fountain at the Bellagio location.

Rainforest Cafe. If you want to be sure the kids won't fuss during dinner, take them to this popular spot in the Harmon Corner so they can dine among animatronic animals and listen to (faux) weather reports.

322 Pizza Bar. Nothing goes better together than kids and pizza, and they fit hand in glove at this upbeat joint smack in the middle of the Fremont Street action, serving up huge slices of tasty 'za. A happy, lip-smackin' experience.
