Captain Freeman Inn Review

Named for the sea captain who had the home built in 1866, this gracious inn retains its aged elegance with orginal ornate plaster ceiling medallions, marble fireplaces, and sturdy yet graceful construction. Rooms are adorned with antiques, some with 4-poster beds, whirlpool tubs, and all have fireplaces. Three rooms upstairs have their own private sunrooms, perched above the trees and the pretty back lawn. Artful and rich breakfasts are served on the screened-in porch overlooking the pool in warmer weather; enjoy your afternoon tea and cookies on the large front porch. It's a short walk to Breakwater Beach on the bay; even shorter to the ice cream shop next to the Brewster General Store.
