Winstead Village Inn

114 Parallel St., Harwich, Massachusetts 02645, USA

Why We Like It

Guests staying at the Winstead Inn have full use of the amenities at the Beach Resort situated 1.5 miles south on Nantucket Sound, so between the pool at the Inn and the beach at the Resort, there is plenty of time to play in the water. A private car shuttles Winstead Inn guests to the Beach Resort during the high season. In addition, the luxurious rooms and service are topnotch.

Fodor's Expert Review

With its graceful columns and welcoming front veranda, the regal Winstead Inn sits along a quiet street on the edge of downtown Harwich. Greenery surrounds this Gothic Victorian house, and many of the rooms have a view of the heated, outdoor saltwater pool, a real oasis with potted palms, fountains, and flowers. The inn has a sister property called the Beach House, with 14 rooms on a private stretch of beach fronting Nantucket Sound; free shuttles will take guests here to hit the beach.

You Should Know If you care more about the beach than a pool, book your stay at the sister Beach Resort. That way you won't have to wait for a shuttle or drive there.
