Hilton Baltimore Review

Location, location, location: One of Baltimore's newest hotels has an unparalleled view of Camden Yards and a skywalk that connects to the city convention center. Opened in 2008, the towering 20-story hotel is mostly boring gray metal on the outside, in stark contrast with the brick-clad ballpark. Inside, the hotel has a nautical feel, with wave-shaped fixtures hanging from the ceiling and pillars of dark wood and blue tiles. Ask for a room on the south side, where you can peer down into the ballpark. Or you can watch the games from the fitness center on the fourth floor. Hotel staff is friendly and accommodating and the amenities are new.

    This is a Hilton?

    This hotel is just resting on the merits of its name (although I don't know how the chain permits them to keep it) and taking advantage of its location. It's right between the Convention Center and Camden Yards (you can watch games from the balcony off the gym), so they don't have to work hard for guests.
    Staff is generally unhelpful, but I'll single out the concierge who did not reply to written requests for travel cnx as the worst. Room service telling my kid they'd send up a complimentary drink for my bday and then not doing, so he was anxiously waiting and waiting to give me his gift & card he'd made, was pretty rude too.
    Stuff didn't work--2 tv remotes, hot tub @ pool (no date for repair), key cards daily...
    They clearly don't have to care--and they don't!
