In the center of town in Rockland's National Historic District, you can easily walk to the Farnsworth Museum or any of the other downtown attractions and restaurants from here. Built in 1892 as a private home, the architecture style is "Eastlake" Queen Anne. The rooms in the main part of the house are elegantly and meticulously decorated. Grand Manan is the premier room and has a working fireplace, a whirlpool tub, and a mahogany four-poster king bed. Island Cottage, which features a whirlpool tub and doors that open onto a private deck overlooking the English garden, is in the home's ell and has a more casual feel.
