Grace Review

Breakout culinary star Curtis Duffy (veteran of Avenues and Alinea) makes a home for his inventive white-tablecloth cuisine at this West Loop stunner. Duffy artfully plates delicate, hyper-seasonal dishes on two tasting menus—flora and fauna themed—for $185 each. For a fine dining institution, the menu is refreshingly vegetable heavy, where parsnip with dried pineapple, tarragon ice, and fennel mingle alongside poached chestnut, Perigord truffle, roasted-almond milk, and red sorrel. If you can spare the extra cash, opt for the wine pairings—though the nonalcoholic pairings are just as exceptional.
