Purdy's Macadamia Nut Farm

Fodor's Review:

Molokai's only working macadamia-nut farm is open for educational tours hosted by the knowledgeable and entertaining owner. A family business on Hawaiian homestead land in Hoolehua, the farm takes up 1½ acres with a flourishing grove of some 50 trees more than 70 years old. Taste a delicious nut right out of its shell or home roasted, and dip it into macadamia-blossom honey; then buy some at the shop on the way out. Look for Purdy's sign behind Molokai High School.

  • Cost: Free
  • Open: Weekdays 9:30-3:30, Sat. 10-2, Sun. and holidays by appointment
