On a steep slope overlooking the Palawai Basin are 34 boulders with carvings. Drawn in a mixture of styles dating to the late 1700s and early 1800s, the simple stick figures depict animals, people, and mythic beings. A nearby heiau, or temple, no longer visible, was used to summon the rains and was dedicated to the god Kane. Do not draw on or deface the carvings, and do not add to the collection.
