Getting Oriented

EPCOT is undergoing a massive transformation in time for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary in 2021. Over the next couple years, the park will be divided into four sections, including the beloved World Showcase, as well as the new World Celebration, World Nature, and World Discovery areas in what was (and some might still refer to as) Future World. Of course, amid the park’s classic offerings, you can expect to find plenty of new, innovative, and thrilling attractions.

At the entrance of the park is the recently created World Celebration area, home to Spaceship Earth, a new festival space, and Dreamers Point, which will honor Walt Disney's vision for EPCOT. This area will also have everything you need for your day at EPCOT, including stroller and wheelchair rentals, maps, and Guest Relations (aka Guest Services).

To the east, World Nature will keep favorites such as Soarin' and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. In The Land pavilion the new Awesome Planet film has opened to complement Soarin' and Living with the Land. Soon to be added is the Journey of Water, a "Moana"-themed exploration trail; updates to the Imagination pavilion are also in the works.

In the west is World Discovery, which, with the help of Test Track and Mission: SPACE, will focus on science and technology. This is where the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be. A new restaurant called Space 2020, beside Mission: SPACE, gives guests views of the celestial. The PLAY! pavilion is full of interactive games based off the latest Disney Channel hits.

World Showcase pavilions are on the promenade that circles the World Showcase Lagoon. Each houses architectural examples of a country, with shops, restaurants, and friendly international staffers; some have films or displays. Live entertainment is scheduled at several pavilions. New attractions, such as Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in France and a Mary Poppins–inspired attraction in Great Britain, are expanding the ride options in this section of the park.
