B-Line Diner

Updated 04/30/2014

Fodor's Review

As you might expect from its location in the Hyatt Regency, this slick modern diner is not exactly cheap, but the salads, sandwiches, and griddle foods are tops. The classic combo—a thick, juicy burger with fries and a milk shake—is done beautifully. And there are lots of selections you'd never expect to find here, like an appetizer of potato chips with blue cheese sauce and rosemary (on the late-night menu only) and an entrée of miso-broiled Atlantic salmon with

eggplant caponata and ponzu-butter sauce. It's open 24 hours, so if you crave a Reuben or Oreo chocolate mousse cake at 3 am, B-Line is the place to go.

Can't park, mediocre food, go somewhere else

The hotel is currently under construction and it is a nightmare to park near the restaurant. There are plenty of better choices nearby, so move on.

An Ersatz "Diner" Experience

I guess if Zsa Zsa Gabor wanted to "slum" it and experience a Diner, this might be wheer she'd go. Set in the Peabody Hotel -- a very up-scale facility -- this "diner" is immaculate, almost to the point of being antiseptic. It has the appointings of a diner, but none of the carachter. The food itself was very good, not geat, but very good. The service, however, was some of the worst we had on our trip. The waiter was often inattentive, and it

took forever to get served. If I was staying at the Peabody, I'd probably go again, but I definitely wouldn't travel out of my way for the B-Line.

Very Nice Diner

The best part is that it's open 24 hours a day. Room service will even deliver any food from the diner you'd like. They have a TON of awesome deserts (cakes, tarts, cookies, cheesecakes, etc) The food is really good too and you get huge portions. I was very impressed with this hotel diner. I also liked that it was a very clean atmosphere. When you think of diner, you think kinda dingy, but the B-Line Diner is quite the opposite. Great service

too.

Atypical Diner!

Had a good woman server and they will cook the fish anyway you like it....very tasty and moist! The desserts lacked good flavor, however. Open all night, so it's good for late hour eating. The Manager is too "visual", always prowling around...a little uneasy feeling while eating.

Comfort food with a twist....

All the goodies your mom use to make, and then some. Food is excellent, and they are open 24 hrs. Good for late night snacks.
