Holiday Inn Resort—The Castle Review

You won't really believe you're in a castle at this midprice hotel, although the whimsical gold-and-silver spires and medieval-style mosaics may make you feel as if you're having a Harry Potter moment. The rooftop terrace offers views of Universal—and Hogwarts Castle—along with the nightly fireworks, and the courtyard with its round, heated swimming pool offers a serene escape from International Drive's frenzy. All rooms have flat-screen TVs and upscale bedding, and some have printer/scanner/fax machines. Kids eat breakfast free and enjoy the scavenger hunts, poolside movies, and arcade. Two good restaurants, Café Tu Tu Tango and Vito's Chop House, are connected to the hotel by a walkway, and Pointe Orlando, a popular dining, entertainment, and shopping complex, is nearby.
