Book NowSawgrass Golf Resort & Spa, a Marriott Resort Review
Here you can laze about in the highly regarded spa or by one of four swimming pools, get active out on a golf course, or fish in a freshwater lake or pond. It's not an oceanfront resort, but this is just a technicality: for you, the exclusive oceantfront Cabana Beach Club is just a three-minute drive or free shuttle ride away. You also have access to an Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole minigolf course and the renowned TPC at Sawgrass Stadium Course, which hosts THE PLAYERS Championship. There are several casual on-site restaurants as well as the upscale Augustine Grill. The Sawgrass Marriott also offers activities for kids—from sandcastle sculpting and shark's teeth hunts to arts and crafts and "dive-in" movies.

I went for the golf and my wife took advantage of the fine Spa. TPC Sawgrass was in impeccable condition following 'THE Players' Championship...I finally got to play that 17th island hole. Marie fell in love with the treatments at the Spa and I must admit that the food and service was top notch (I couldn't fit in any desserts...those damn American portions)! However, make sure and try the Beef Carpacio...amazing! The rooms have just been renovated and it was very pleasant watching last night's golf highlights on a huge plasma screen every morning! I couldn't fault a thing - what a pity I couldn't bring the weather back with me to Ireland!

A friend & I are thinking of taking our annual spring break to Sarasoga and Siesta Key.
Can you recommend this or would you recommend somewhere else that might have a tropical island feel?
