Jimmy Evert Tennis Center. This grande dame of Fort Lauderdale's public tennis facilities is where legendary champ Chris Evert learned her two-handed backhand under the watchful eye of her now-retired father, Jimmy, the center's tennis pro for 37 years. There are 18 lighted clay courts and three hard courts.
