Getting Here and Around

Hartford is located in the middle of the state, at the intersection of two main highways: Interstate 91, which runs north–south from Western Massachusetts straight through Hartford and on to the Connecticut coastline, and Interstate 84, which runs generally east–west from Union at the northeast border with Massachusetts to near Danbury at the New York border. Amtrak serves Hartford on the Northeast Regional line. Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, 15 minutes north of Hartford, offers flights to more than 30 destinations in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
