Park Essentials

Park Fees and Permits

Entrance fees are $25 per week per vehicle. Visitors entering on bicycle, motorcycle, or on foot pay $15 for a weekly pass. To access the inner canyon, you must pick up a wilderness permit (no fee).

Park Hours

The park is open 24/7 year-round. It’s in the Mountain time zone.

ATMs/Banks

The park has no ATMs. The nearest ATMs are in Montrose.

Cell Phone Reception

Cell phone reception in the park is unreliable and sporadic, but the most common spot for visitors to find a cell signal is at High Point, near the end of the South Rim Road, 6 miles from the visitor center.

Emergencies

In the event of a medical or police emergency, dial 911. Medical assistance is available at South Rim Visitor Center and, in summer, at the North Rim ranger station. Report fires to either of those locations.
