Fodor's Review

The cabins at this resort a 10-minute drive south from Mammoth Lakes range from rustic to modern and come with fully equipped kitchens, including coffeemakers and premium coffee. The least-fancy feel like upgraded fishing cabins, and the nicest have Jacuzzi tubs and other creature comforts. Whichever room you book, the valley here is so gorgeous that you may want to spend all your time outdoors. Winters are especially pretty here.

We never miss a chance to stay/dine at Convict Lake

There is a wide range of cabin amenities. The newer ones definitely rate a 4. The food, particularly seafood, is outstanding. Convict Lake Resort displays far more quality than one would expect in such a rugged (and beautiful) setting.
