Fodor's Review

An anonymous-looking World War II shipyard building holds a great treasure: a sprawling (more than 1½ acres), walkable model of the entire San Francisco Bay and the San Joaquin–Sacramento River delta, complete with flowing water. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers uses the model to reproduce the rise and fall of tides, the flow of currents, and the other physical forces at work on the bay.
