Fodor's Expert Review The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay
1 Miramontes Point Rd., Half Moon Bay, California, 94019, USA
The grande dame of Northern California coastal hotels resides in its own little micro-community on a picturesque bluff. All of the typical Ritz-Carlton flourishes (and steep prices) are here, plus a few unique ones like a sunset bagpipe performances and two golf courses. A few rooms and suites have their own oceanfront firepits with Adirondack chairs, practically straight out of a postcard. The upscale seafood and contemporary Californian-focused Navio restaurant is the leading restaurant on the coast. All in all, it's one of the signature getaways for West Coast residents and visitors.
PROS
- large, comfortable rooms with oceanic color theme
