Fodor's Expert Review The Olema

10000 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Olema, California, 94950, USA

Built in 1876, this rustic inn and restaurant—a sister property to Manka's Inverness Lodge—retains all its 19th-century architectural charm with the added flair of Margaret Gradé's eccentric details. Each room is uniquely decorated with hand-picked bed frames, vintage wardrobes, and other original furnishings, some straight from a Parisian flea market. The main attraction of The Olema is the top-notch cooking served at the on-site restaurant Sir and Star. Using ingredients sourced within a 15-mile radius (many from the farm across the street), the kitchen kicks out creative local dishes Wednesday–Sunday evenings.
