Petite Auberge Review

Recreating an intimate French country inn, the provincial room decor used at the Petite Auberge pleases Francophiles looking for a retreat from hectic downtown. The small rooms have bright flowered wallpaper, an old-fashioned writing desk, and a much-needed armoire (there's little or no closet space). Many rooms have a gas fireplace, and the suite has a whirlpool tub. Afternoon tea, wine, and hors d'oeuvres are served in the lobby by the fire, and there's a full-breakfast buffet in the downstairs dining room. For less city noise, splurge for a room in the back of the building.
