This grand old riverboat, now permanently moored on Old Sacramento's waterfront, once transported passengers between Sacramento and San Francisco. Among many notable design elements are its main staircase, mahogany paneling, and brass fittings. The best of the 43 staterooms, all no-smoking, are on the river side toward the back of the boat. The boat's theater stages high-quality productions. Pros: Intimate, old Sacramento is just off the dock, creaky floors add to on-board ambience. Cons: Old Sacramento is not always vibrant at night, on-board amenities aren't very modern, creaky floors.
