Even if you don't play golf, the elegant Argyle, occupying the Aviara Golf clubhouse, is an excellent choice for some of the finest cuts of locally sourced prime and Wagyu beef. The 18th green, Batiquitos Lagoon, and the Pacific Ocean create beautiful vistas from nearly every table, whether you are inside at the clubby bar or outside on the deck. A Steak Knife Concierge will guide you through an impressive menu of oysters, steak tartar, beef carpaccio, and lobster tacos. Once past the starters, it's ode to the steak with your choice of cuts, sauces, crusts, rubs, and sides. The bone-in rib eye with truffle butter and twice-baked potatoes is a carnivore's dream come true. For dessert, the pastry chef pulls out all the stops with the dusted lava cake prepared with four types of chocolate and Tahitian vanilla gelato. Brunch is served on weekends 10:30–2:30.
