Fodor's Review

Carefully prepared European cuisine is the draw at this airy restaurant. The rack of lamb is carved at the table, the grilled halloumi cheese and tomatoes are meticulously stacked and served with basil and Kalamata olive tapenade, and the desserts are set aflame before your eyes. For lighter fare with a worldwide flair, head to the bar, where small plates such as Dungeness crab ravioli and brochette of filet mignon with chimichurri sauce are served.

Very Stuffy

Basically this is a place your grandparents would have thought was Great in the 50's. Very very stuffy, very very formal. Not really bad, just not really different

Nice Lunch at Anton & Michel

This restaurant is located in Carmel in the Courtyard of the Fountains, very pretty place. We had a nice lunch here on the outside patio, taking in the beautiful views of the fountains and small boutiques in the heart of Carmel. The food and service were both very good, we would like to return to dinner sometime, the inside dining room was very elegant.

Perfect dining in perfect ambience

A Sunday night reservation for my wife, me and 2 teenage boys resulted in the best dining experience we have ever had (and we have eaten a lot around the world!). The welcome and service was very courteous and friendly, the setting was beautiful and the food was truely magnificent - my 15 year old son ate a fricasee of scallops, prawns and smoked salmon ravioli that was almost hedonistic. This is the best.

Cold Bread and Smelly Dessert

This restaurant was almost perfect. The decor is romantic; the entrees, appetizers, house wine and service excellent. But the bread was cold and the butter hard. The tiramisu tasted pungent, as if made with goat cheese.

Great for lunch

Had lunch here - the food was excellent (I had the Chicken Jerusalem), and we were able to sit facing a beautiful courtyard behind the restaurant.
