Fodor's Review

This quirky converted firehouse, with its rawhide walls and iron indoor trellises, has a wonderfully sophisticated menu. Chef Tony Baker uses organic produce and meats and sustainably sourced seafood to create imaginative dishes that reflect the area's agriculture—fire-roasted artichokes with Mediterranean relish, for instance, and pesto-rubbed sirloin prepared with brussels sprouts, dates, and smoked bacon. Monterey wineries are well represented on the wine list, and the signature cocktails are infused with local fruits, herbs, and vegetables.
