Across the road from a beach, this "inn" is essentially a high-end motel, with spacious, spotless rooms and suites. Beds have fluffed and freshly covered duvets; you won't find musty bedspreads here. All rooms have balconies; pricier rooms have lake views (across the road), wet bars, and kitchens. Coffee and cider are available all day in the lobby.

Grounds are nice, across busy street from lake. Rooms on the other hand were very disappointing. On first visit, got "discount" room which was very cramped for Tahoe and little charm. Next visit, had a deluxe room with view (out of small sliding glass door, not worth it). Also, we were assigned a smoking room because we had specified up front that we wanted non-smoking. Can't we take this for granted in CA yet? Breakfast, however, is quite tasty,
lots of breads for toasting and fresh muffins.
