High-end motel meets boutique hotel at this revamped (to the tune of $3.5 million) property across the road from a beach. The decor features reclaimed wood and color schemes that blend subtle touches of azure with warm browns and grays. Beds are plush and comfortable; you won't find musty bedspreads here. All rooms have balconies, and pricier rooms have lake views (across the road). Even in winter, the heated pool and adjacent 20-person hot tub see plenty of activity.
