Getting Here and Around

Accessible by car from Anchorage, Portage Glacier lies within Chugach National Forest just west of the tunnel to Whittier. In summer, Gray Line of Alaska leads boat tours along the face of Portage Glacier aboard the 200-passenger Ptarmigan.
