Book NowFairmont Le Reine Elizabeth Review
Built to impress international guests during Expo 67, The Queen E is the iconic setting for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "bed-in for peace" protest of 1969, but don't think it's stuck in the past. The hotel is modern and urban, with a new roof-top garden for heirloom vegetables. Rooms are spacious with lush carpeting and richly textured fabrics, but lack pizzazz. Bathrooms are stocked with imported toiletries by Miller Harris, while the walls display work by local artists. The Gold floors (18 and 19) attract celebs like Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell because of their private elevator, separate check-in, concierge services, and the stunning views of a domed church. Health nuts love the Fairmont Fit program, a partnership with Adidas and BMW, who supply gym gear. The restaurant menus reflect the Fit program's goal, serving sustainable fish and healthy food.

A large busy hotel. The service was friendly and attentive. The room was large with nice views of downtown. I especially liked the convenience via escalator to underground trains, restaurants and shops. Perfect choice for a first time visitor to Montreal.

Our room was a suite and newly renovated with a comfortable bed and amenities. Staff were most helpful and courteous, but the restaurant was closed and the strike caused delays in room cleaning. The location is close to everything but next to nothing.
