Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth Review

Built to impress international guests during Expo 67, The Queen E was the iconic setting for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's second "bed-in for peace" protest of 1969, but it's hardly stuck in the past—answering as it does the trend for locavore food with a rooftop garden and beehives for heirloom vegetables and honey. Rooms are spacious, with lush carpeting and richly textured fabrics, but they lack pizzazz. Bathrooms are stocked with biodegradable toiletries by Le Labo, while the walls display work by local artists. The Gold floors (18 and 19) attract celebs like Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell because of their private elevator, separate check-in, concierge services, and the stunning views of a domed church. Health nuts love the Fairmont Fit program, a partnership with Reebox and BMW, who supply gym gear and bikes. The restaurant menus reflect the Fit program's goal, serving sustainable fish and healthy food.

    wonderful queen elizabeth

we have stayed several times in the lovely hotel on the gold floor and have enjoyed the lovely breakfast and delish appetizers provided in the gold floor lounge every day . The staff are charming and very helpful with getting a reservation or recommending where to go for meals. Ask for a larger room on the gold floor or a jr suite as they provide more space .the hotel is very convenient to everything and is great if you arrive by train! I would highly recommend it

    Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth Review

A large busy hotel. The service was friendly and attentive. The room was large with nice views of downtown. I especially liked the convenience via escalator to underground trains, restaurants and shops. Perfect choice for a first time visitor to Montreal.

    An ordinary experience

Our room was a suite and newly renovated with a comfortable bed and amenities. Staff were most helpful and courteous, but the restaurant was closed and the strike caused delays in room cleaning. The location is close to everything but next to nothing.
