Daniel-Brenan Brickhouse
Daniel-Brenan Brickhouse Review
Opened in 2011 in a converted warehouse downtown, this is the sort of place that could pull a trendy crowd based soley on its urban decor and novel menu. Food-wise, however, Chef Ilona Daniel's open kitchen really delivers. Prime local ingredients are used to create dishes with United Nations appeal (think Korean-style beef cheeks served on a kimchi pancake, or organic falafel with edamame hummus). The restaurant has an extensive wine list for vino lovers, and playful desserts like gourmet s'mores and whoopie pies for sweet-toothed diners. Dietary purists, meanwhile, will be pleased by the number of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free offerings.
