Horseshoe Resort

Horseshoe Resort. One of the few resorts to offer snowboarding, tubing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country and downhill skiing trails and facilities is Horseshoe Resort, about an hour's drive north of Toronto, off Highway 400. The resort has a terrain park, competition-level half-pipe and 26 alpine runs, 15 of which are lit at night, served by six lifts and a magic carpet. The vertical drop is only 304 feet, but several of the runs are rated for advanced skiers. Winter sports is only half the fun.
