Fodor's Expert Review Mariner's Landing

Digby provides no shortage of opportunities for sampling fish-and-chips, but Mariner's Landing is the town's only seafood restaurant. A pleasant if low-frills affair, the dining area overlooks the harbor where the fishing fleet lands the catch you'll be eating. The friendly staff knows its way around seafood, including the famous Digby scallops, but can also direct you to the few nonseafood items on the menu, not to mention the delectable home-style desserts. The wine list favors local varieties, some of them worth a try. The seafood chowder here is satisfyingly creamy, with lobster, scallops, and other fresh seafood, and not too much potato.
