Fodor's Expert Review Alpine Village

Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

Facing the Athabasca River, this family-owned cabin resort feels like it's miles away from civilization even though the drive to Jasper takes only three minutes. The accommodations, including lodge suites and deluxe cabins, come in numerous, if invariably woodsy, styles. Many of the units can easily sleep five, making this property a good choice for families or groups. Most units have wood-burning fieldstone fireplaces and fully equipped kitchens. The grounds are well maintained and include a playground and a large hot tub. You can chop your own wood for free or purchase it bundled and ready to go.
