Fodor's Review:

"Luxury, naturally," the theme of this eight-story terraced bay-front hotel, shows up everywhere: from the little vase of aromatic herbs mounted outside each room to the penthouse day spa with soaking tubs in a rooftop bamboo forest; from the aromatherapy garden off the patio of restaurant Americano to the complimentary newspaper and yoga-stretch classes available each morning. Opened in spring 2005, the hotel has handsome rooms, with 440-thread-count sheets, twice-daily maid service, limestone-lined baths, and views of the Bay Bridge, Embarcadero, Treasure Island, or the city skyline. Wi-Fi and LCD flat-screen TVs keep businesspeople up-to-date, and spacious Family Studios have two sofa beds curtained off from the main sleeping area.

Nightmare

I travel to SF often, and thought I'd try a new place. But the staff has a bad attitude, the room was cramped and noisy, and the neighborhood is uber boring. I think they're trying to create a cool image, but it just seemed cheesy. You can do much better in the Embarcadero area or around Union Square.
