Al Tambor de la Alegría is a newer place on the second floor of the Brisas de Amador shopping center, on Isla Perico, near the end of the Amador Causeway, that serves traditional Panamanian food and offers a dance show that relates the country's history. Shows are Wednesday through Saturday at 9 pm and cost $5, with no minimum consumption at the restaurant. This is the only performance offered on Wednesday night, and it is a big show on an elevated stage, though it's a bit schmaltzy. The restaurant is not attractive, but the food is good.
