Getting Here and Around

The only way to reach this resort community is by car. From Playa del Carmen, head north on Carretera 307 for approximately 15 minutes; after passing the entrance for Grand Velas, turn right at Km 298 into Mayakoba. From Cancún, take Carretera 307 south to the east turnoff at Km 298. The entrance is marked by a large metal gate with silver lettering. Security guards will direct you to the property of your choice. Access to hotels, restaurants, spas, and the golf course are permitted by reservation only. Cars are banned, but guests can explore the jungle habitat by golf cart or bike (a paved trail connects the three properties); there’s also a complimentary eco-boat that cruises through 11 km (7 miles) of waterways.
