Close to the downtown action yet far enough away to have a peaceful feel, this little hotel has enough creature comforts to keep most budget travelers happy, but the cheapest rooms may be too basic for some tastes. There's a full kitchen that guests may use, a lending library, and a reading room. Guests gather nightly under the large palapa, where you'll also find the reception desk and sitting area. The rooms are small and simply furnished, with high ceilings, brightly colored bedding, and patio hammocks. Ask to see a few rooms since each one is different; some have a/c and TV while others are more basic and affordable. Those upstairs, away from the bar are quieter, like the rooftop "Eclipse" room with cheery decor and plenty of light.
