The most reasonably priced eatery in the Hotel Zone, serving surprisingly good food, this resturant is a tribute to masked wrestling champion El Santo. Colorfully decorated with retro furnishings like rainbow lawn chairs and sculptures of the Virgin Mary holding plastic roses, a bright red bar dominates the downstairs, and there's an upstairs dining area with a small outdoor patio. Frequented by locals who work in the Hotel Zone, this eatery serves great shrimp tacos with
seven types of sauces. For those who want an alternative to the traditional flour tortilla, try the fried cheese taco. The tamarindo margaritas are also very refreshing. Located just south of La Isla Shopping Village, this kitschy cantina is marked by a string of Christmas lights dangling over the patio. This is not a fine-dining restaurant, so don't be surprised if the one waiter on staff serves your table in stages.
